Jon Altuna has been Academic Vice-Rector at Mondragon University since 2011. He was previously lecturer, researcher and Academic Coordinator of the University's Faculty of Engineering, where he was involved in competence-based curriculum design and quality assurance. Last year he became Coordinator of the European University Alliance EU4DUAL, which aims to provide transnational dual based higher education. Mondragon is a cooperative university and is part of Mondragon Corporation, the largest association of cooperatives in the world.
