Accessibility Community Group: Join Jisc’s online drop-in clinics
Jisc’s online drop-in meetups provide a space to ask questions about best practice in digital inclusion.

Jisc hosts an Accessibility Community and runs accessibility drop-in clinics, on the first Wednesday of each month in the academic calendar. The sessions are to give you the opportunity to ask questions about digital inclusion, find out what others are doing in areas that are problematic, and share your accessibility journey.

  • Share your experiences with, and learn from like-minded people at various stages of developing accessible policy and practice

  • Gain feedback and support on any areas that may have been challenging

  • Get signposting to other resources and link up to communities of practice where appropriate

  • Establish connections with people working to overcome the same problems

  • Contribute to shaping the Jisc offer in this area

The sessions will be led by subject specialists Laura Hutton and Kellie Mote, with input from colleagues and recognised specialists in the sector.

Previous topics have included:

  • A collaborative approach to maths accessibility

  • Writing accessibility statements

  • Making PDFs more accessible

  • Community Q&A

  • Exploring positive digital practices

The clinics and the community are open to everyone with an interest in accessibility and inclusion, particularly those working in UK education.
