Transnational provision of Higher Education within Europe

29 Mar 2023
Auditorium
Futures , Innovation
The European Universities Initiative is providing an impetus to more integrated HE provision in Europe. Joint degrees, mobility and research cooperation is being intensified within EU supported European University Alliances, while several are piloting proposals for an independent legal statute and a European degree label. This session will assess the results and outlook for this advanced cooperation and integration, and will also reflect how the initiative is impacting on the internationalisation strategies of higher education institutions. Furthermore, we will discuss the implications for transnational cooperation in higher education more generally as well as the specific issue of how UK based institutions may continue to cooperate with EU partners, despite the challenges posed by Brexit.
Chairperson
